Home Advantage: From star athlete to essential worker for Tara Lee Turner-Beazley

Touch Black Tara Lee Turner-Beazley would have been battling it out for the inaugural trans-Tasman Touch Series last week but instead finds herself on the frontline as an essential worker.

Turner-Beazley is reflecting on the positives of an enforced lockdown. With the 2020 Open Trans-Tasman Touch series in postponed indefinitely, she's now juggling home isolation with coaching videos, working as an essential worker at the local supermarket, entertaining the siblings and ongoing studies. The 16-year-old comes from a family of nine.
