A netball player from Porirua, she was educated at Windley School and St Mary's College. Ainsleyana went on to study at Victoria University of Wellington and was named their Pasifika Sportsperson of the Year.
Ainsleyana has experienced more challenges than most after a run of serious knee injuries threatened to derail her promising career. Blessed with an abundance of speed and creativity, she has endured lengthy rehabilitation spells after suffering three anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures in six years (2017 – 2023).
She was selected for the NZ U21 squad which was preparing for the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup. She was also named in the Central Manawa squad for the 2021 season. The World Youth Cup was postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ainsleyana was named the 2022 National Netball League (NNL) Player of the Year for Central Manawa and was selected as captain for the Samoa national team for the 2023 Netball World Cup Oceania qualifiers and was also named team captain.
She gained her first full contract with the Pulse in 2023. Ainsleyana made her long awaited debut for the Central Pulse in the A.NZ Netball League in June 2025.
