Braxton is from Wairoa. In 2022, she was a member of the Aotearoa Māori Secondary Schools team and a reserve for the NZ Secondary school team. In 2023 Braxton was a senior member of the Napier Girls High School netball team. She also made NZSS level in 2023 while representing Central Netball. In her spare time Braxton loves hunting, diving, hiking and horse riding.
