Ella plays basketball for Carmel College, following in Tania Dalton’s footsteps at her former school. In 2026, she holds the leadership position of Head of Sport, overseeing sporting initiatives within the school community.

Her basketball career includes selection for the New Zealand U16 Girls Asia Cup training camp in 2025 and participation in the Eltham Dandenong Tournament in Melbourne in 2026. At the regional level, she received the Harbour Basketball Trident Award for the U16 Girls category, an honour citing her sportsmanship & dedication.

In addition to her playing commitments, Ella contributes to the basketball community by coaching younger players and refereeing junior games.
