Farina attended Onslow College in Wellington and has played football since she was five living in Colombia. She also plays futsal. She was selected for the Capital Football U18 Girls Youth National League squad and plays for the Wellington United Diamonds. Farina has also invited to trial as part of the Wellington ID pathway for the NZ U20 camps.
