Lani studied at Carmel College, North Shore – Tania's former high school. She was named in the 2023 NZ Junior Women’s squad and was part of the 2023 IPCU19 Gold Medal Winners for Division One playing for North Harbour. She was also named in the 2023 Secondary Schools Tournament Team at the Auckland Volleyball Champs and Captain of the Carmel College Premier Volleyball team. In 2024 Lani was named in the NZ Junior Development Volleyball team. She also coached Touch and Volleyball to the juniors at Carmel. 

Currently at the University of Auckland, Lani has been named in the NZ U21 beach women’s volleyball team with Grace Tiplady. They will be heading over to Qingdao, China in June for Futures Beach events and then over to Thailand for U21 Qualifiers.
