Marama is a cricketer. She plays for the Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club. In 2023, she was named captain of the NZ Indoor Cricket Women's Team to take on Australia in the five-match series on the Gold Coast. She was a product of the New Zealand junior development programme and has risen through various teams in recent years into the senior side. She made her debut at the 2022 World Cup in Melbourne where she played 10 matches for the New Zealand Team. Prior to this she also played four matches for the Under-22 side at a Trans-Tasman Series in 2019 and also competed for the Under-17A Team at the Junior World Series in 2018.
She won the 2024/25 Northern Maori Wahine Player of the Year awarded by Northern Districts Cricket.
