Mia was a student at Waitakere College. She was names Dux Ludorum for her outstanding touch and netball achievements. Mia played Touch and netball. She was named tournament MVP for the premier netball team at regional champs. She represented Auckland and North Harbour.

Mia was elected in the New Zealand U20 Mixed Touch Team and was MVP Female New Zealand U20 Mixed Touch Team. She was the flag Bearer for NZ at the Youth Trans-Tasman Series 2023 and in the same year at 16 Mia debuted for the NZ Touch Blacks Open Women's squad at the Trans-Tasman Series.
