Parris  has excelled in touch, basketball, and netball. In 2019, she was a member of the NZ Secondary School Netball team and played in the BEKO Netball League for Central Manawa.

Following her time at Palmerston North school, Manukura, Parris was selected for the Pulse netball team in 2021, her first year out of school. She further showcased her netball prowess by playing for the NZU21 netball team in the 2020 Cadbury Series, which led to her making the 2023-24 Silver Ferns Netball Development Squad.

In a testament to her versatile athletic ability, Parris became a double international in 2024 with her elevation to the Silver Ferns, having already made her debut for the Tall Ferns (New Zealand women's national basketball team) in 2022. She currently plays for the Pulse in the ANZ Netball Premiership.
