Petra attends Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland. At only 15-years-old she was in the Premier Auckland U18 Hockey team. She plays for the Somerville Hockey Club in Auckland for the U16 and was drafted into the women’s club premium team playing alongside current Black Sticks.

She has also represented New Zealand in Ultimate (Frisbee) from the age of 14. She was named in the NZ U20 squad for the 2025/2026 campaign. Petra has been selected to compete on the world stage at the 2026 World Junior Ultimate Championships in Spain later this year.
