Sahara has moved to Auckland from Rotorua and is studying at Westlake Girls School on the North Shore. She played in the 2023 NZ Secondary Schools 3x3 Basketball Junior elite grade, where she was named as the MVP in the final for Rotorua girls. In 2023 she was Invited to trial for U16 NZ Girls Basketball Team and selected for the Basketball Pasific NZ U18 Kori team.

She plays in the senior premier team and is also playing for North Harbour. In 2024 she was selected for the U19 NZ Maori Team to play at the Native American basketball invitational tournament In Arizona, US. Later that same year she travelled to Minneapolis with the U18 Dare to Dream team for the AAU National championship.

In 2025 she was selected for the Junior Tall Ferns camp training squad.
