Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki

Taylor is a Kayaker who attends Gisborne Girls’ High School.

In 2025 she made the NZ Kayaking team that competed in Japan in the Asia Pacific Cup, placing  1^st in the U16 K2 500m, the K4 500m and the K1 200m Relay. In the same year at the NZ Canoe Racing Nationals she won 1^st place in the Open Women’s K4 500m race and in the NZ Kayaking Secondary Schools competition she came 1^st in the U16 K1 1.5km, the K2 250m and the K1 250m relay.

Taylor has also competed in the NZ Secondary Schools Swimming competition placing 2^nd in 15-year-old 100m freestyle and 3^rd in the 50m freestyle.

In summer she volunteers 25 hours a week at Midway Surf Club as a lifeguard.
