Theresa played netball for the Northern Comets in the national netball league (NNL) in 2017 and went on to make her debut for the Sky City Mystics in June 2017.

In the same year she made the NZ Secondary Schools netball team and went on to a career highlight where she travelled to Fiji representing NZ in the U21 Netball team but later on represented  Tonga in the Oceania World Cup qualifiers. In 2018 Theresa  focused on volleyball and was part of her school team - Aorere College team that finished 4th at the NZ Secondary School Champs. She was also selected to compete in Vietnam with the NZ Youth Women’s Volleyball team in 2018.
