Growing up in Gisborne, Zoe’s passion for surf life saving started when she was 6 years old as a Tadpole at Midway, when she moved up to Auckland she joined Mairangi Bay surf life saving club. In 2023 Zoe broke the World Junior record for the U19 100 Manikin Tow at the Australian Pool Rescue Champs and smashed the Australian & NZ record for the 100 Manikin Carry. The same year she was selected to represent NZ Open in the International German Cup. 

2024 was a golden year for Zoe becoming a world champion in 4 different events while competing for the NZ Open Surf Lifesaving team at the World Champs on the Gold Coast in Australia. 2025 has seen her continue to take Gold medals at both the Australian and NZ Surf Life Saving Nationals as well as at the World Games Pool Series in China. 

Zoe was the winner of the TDF Trustee Award for the Class 2021.

As a world champion she continues to represent Mairangi Bay when in NZ and Northcliffe LS Club when in Australia.
