CLASS OF 2025 & 2026 TOGETHER FOR 2 DAYS OF EPIC WORKSHOPS!

08 June 2026

On May 26 & 27 2026 Class of 2025 and 2026 athletes came together at TDF  for two days of workshops.
We had the privilege of hosting some world-class presenters. Former Silver Fern and teammate of Tania, Bernice Mene, alongside Lexi Pritchard OLY and Barbara Kendall OLY, led sessions focused on building self-awareness and giving our young athletes new tools to work with. This kind of inner work makes an athlete better at their sport, but more importantly, helps them grow as a person.
We stayed at the beautiful Emerald Inn in Takapuna, made the most of the beach, and on Tuesday evening took time out with a games night that gave everyone the chance to connect and have a laugh.
Paris Lokotui, TDF alumna from the Class of 2019, led a mentorship masterclass that had the whole room listening. Paris has had a sporting journey across multiple sports, including playing netball professionally in the ANZ Premiership for the Tactix, and now preparing to play pro rugby for Matatu in the upcoming Aupiki 2026 competition. She spoke honestly about her journey, her decisions, the hard times, and what has kept her going. What she shared was honest and insightful, and it clearly resonated with our current scholarship athletes. Hearing from someone who once sat in their exact seat is hard to replace.
The next time our athletes come together will be at our Gala Dinner in August. Class of 2026 will be the volunteer team helping run the event. We hope to see you there.
