Scholars selected for NZSS Athletics Team’s California Tour – April 2025

The NZ Secondary Schools Athletics Team is thrilled to announce its 16-athlete tour party for the inaugural trip to California nest month. Among the talented athletes selected are Juliet McKinlay (Whanganui Collegiate School) and Kendra Scally Tui (Mt Albert Grammar), both earning their places through outstanding performances.
Selections were based on results from the NZSS Championships in Timaru (December 2024), Athletics NZ rankings, and recent Classic meet performances. Juliet (from the TDF Class 2025 supported by Rider Levett Bucknall ) and Kendra’s (from the Class 2024 supported by Michael Synnott Trust) hard work, dedication, and impressive achievements have set them apart, making them deserving representatives of New Zealand on the international stage.
